My Personal Channelings from the plant spirits: 

 Ginger is one of those roots we really take for granted. Ginger has been used all over the world for centuries in cooking and healing remedies, and in many cultures, Ginger is still considered a “cure all”. When I work with Ginger, a kind of energy is summoned within me, a power I’ve never known. It really shows me what happens when I sit down and open myself to receive. You cannot help but experience a spectrum beyond anything you can imagine when you let Ginger fully show you all her power. It’s instant transformation. She can reach the farthest corners of uncharted territory; areas where no light or movement has been. She will penetrate the impenetratable. Our breath is the best alchemist of moving her fire. Take a strong sip of potent Ginger tea and wait. Breathe. Take one more sip. Breathe. Layers begin to move. Memories emerge, energy is activated and proverbial mountains begin to move. Like I said, instant transformation. You will feel her through out your entire being. You will buzz from her energy. Place your hand on your chest to feel your heartbeat, your life force. Energy is pulsating and circulating. Tension in the head, chest and stomach dissipate. Everything softens. You can feel her moving thru your whole body like a laser moving up and down your body. I like to think of her as a courier transporting her medicine to the locations that need her most. My inner cauldron is cleared out and re-lit. I feel protected, enlivened and fully ready to emerge.

There is something about oranges that just make me happy. Maybe it’s the memories of orange slices as a kid shared on the soccer field with friends but something about the smell conjures up feelings of happiness and contentment. Her uplifting and sunny disposition fosters communication that helps me share my truth from a place that is open and refreshing. 

Cinnamon is such a grounded yet expansive spirit. She knows when and how to reach for goals in career, creativity and more without compromising her integrity. She stands in her power and isn’t afraid to show it. 

I don’t believe there is a more recognizable scent to me than white sage. White Sage comes to me as a grandfather. He is my greatest teacher for setting sacred space, slowing time and releasing the need to control. When I work with this potion I instantly see white smoke fill my heart space and clear my heart chakra and solar plexus of lower vibrating energies. He allows for new creations, clarity and miracles to come forth. 

Cacao is one of my most beloved plant allies. To be honest, my original intention for this potion did not include cacao. That’s the beauty of being in deep listening while working with the plant sprits; being open to their magic. Cacao wanted to share his medicine so, of course, I obliged. Like Ginger, Cacao is another one of those plants that teaches us about transformation. What I appreciate most about Cacao’s medicine is his slower more tender approach to healing. He feels like a familiar hug like that of a beloved great grandparent. I feel safe and guided under his wing. He tells me to “relinquish control, to soften my grip. It doesn’t have to be so hard. Gently allow yourself to just BE. Listen and let yourself be guided to healing and nourishment. It’s ok to not know the way because this mystery called life is only but an instant, so why not delight in the dance of changing forms. Let go of mastery and aim for patience, grace and compassion. Remain joyful and grateful and that is when you will truly start living from the heart”. 

 In my own body, I really feel how all these plant spirits work synergistically to help raise my inner power and transform. Simply put, Ginger moves the stuck energy, white sage clears it, while cinnamon, orange and cacao work to uplift my spirit, attract abundance and instill faith and trust in my personal evolution.
